The Foraging Bee / Princeton
Community Honey Day
One October day. The whole community at the yard.
A separate community day at the yard: tasting, kids' candle rolling and a thank-you to the partners who make the giving possible. Free to attend — just RSVP so we know how many chairs to set out. Adopt-a-Hive families and businesses get personal invitations too.
Planned for October. The exact date, venue and guest limit are being set and will be announced before the day. RSVP now and you'll hear it first. Admission is free.
The day
A simple program.
Welcome and the hive story
Mark opens the day with a short walk through the season: how the hives grew, what the bees did and how the honey was made.
Extraction and tasting
Watch honey being spun from the comb and taste the year's harvest (weather and schedule permitting).
Family time
Kids' activities keep running while everyone visits, asks questions and meets the beekeeper.
Thank-yous and close
We thank the partners who make the giving possible, share what's coming next, and close the day together.
For the kids and the grown-ups
Bring the whole family.
Honey Day is built for families. Kids have their own corner, and everyone leaves with something to show for the season.
- Beeswax candle rolling — every child rolls a candle to take home
- Honey tasting spoons from the season's jars
- Meet-the-beekeeper corner — ask Mark anything
- A look inside the Honey Wagon and what it does for schools
Made possible by
Thanks for the giving.
Adopt-a-Hive families and businesses fund the Honey Wagon, youth sports and local search and rescue. Honey Day is where the community sees what that support built — and says thank you together.
Save your spot
RSVP — it's free.
Tell us who's coming and we'll hold chairs for you. You'll get the confirmed date, venue and times as soon as they're set. Your RSVP isn't a ticket purchase — the day is free.
Adopting a hive?
Adopt-a-Hive families and businesses get personal invitations and first chances to take part in community days like this one — plus their own October honey pickup, certificate and quarterly updates.
