SOLACE calm and rest salve tin with forest green band, pencil-sketch portrait, lavender and chamomile on barn wood

SOLACE

The evening tin — calm and rest, poured for her.

SOLACE stands alone now — the one tin of our Icelandic-inspired women's line that customers reached for again and again. The same locally rendered grass-fed beef tallow, the same 2 oz tin, drawn from the highlands: feminine in scent and softness, rugged in build.

Inspired by

The stillness of the Icelandic highlands after the weather breaks.

Iceland's highlands are not gentle country. Glacier melt cuts through black sand, moss holds to lava rock, and the weather turns three times before noon. But when the weather breaks, the stillness that follows is something you feel in your shoulders — and that is what this tin is named for. SOLACE folds lavender and chamomile into our grass-fed tallow with sea buckthorn for overnight skin repair: temples, wrists, collarbones and the dry hands that did the day's work. The pencil-sketch wayfinder portrait and the Vegvísir compass stay on the lid — the old Icelandic mark for never losing your way in storm.

Why one tin

SOLACE was the evening tin of a three-salve line — and the one that earned its place alone. We kept the calm, retired the rest, and pour it with the same care in every batch.

The same tallow standard

Leaf and kidney suet from Similkameen and Nicola valley ranches, wet-rendered twice, salt-washed and filtered to 25 micron. Sebum-identical, and the majority of every batch by weight.

The wind-down ritual

Lavender and chamomile at the temples when the light goes down, sea buckthorn working overnight. Soft-set, clean-absorbing, no grease on the pillow.
