The Canadian Rockies and the Similkameen benchlands above Princeton.
These formulas came off the Similkameen bench and out of the Rockies — the country where the wind never lets up, the descent is longer than the climb, and everything you carry has to earn its weight. RIDGE seals wind and cold-load exposure above treeline. FORGE handles the nicks, hot spots and scrapes of real work. RESET warms the tired quads and shoulders on the way down. STRIDE kills chafe before it starts. GUST holds a mineral seal on split lips at altitude. GRIZZLY conditions a working beard. The Explorer mark — the bearded wayfinder in the topographic ring — signs every lid.
